In other words, if you want to give your child an Amazigh (Berber) name, tough luck. The agent said “Adam is accepted but Ayyur is strange”. “Go to the Civil Status Inspector in the Province to check if this name is on the list” he added. I went to the Inspector, an arrogant person, he said : ”Tamazight is not a language, it's a dialect because it has no history. Sorry, Ayyur is not on the list.” ...
